Kim Jong Il looking at things
A couple of popular blogs have started threads called "Kim Jong Il looking at things". The North Korean leader is always wearing the same grey jacket, shades and Mao suit and looking at something for the camera. He tries to do his best to look interested but fails most of the time. Comtourist went on the web an tried to collect as much images of Kim Jong Il looking at things as possible, enjoy the collection!
It is said that Kim Il Sung, the former North Korean leader has met every North Korean during his lifetime. He paid hundreds of visits to villages, factories, schools, farms and army barracks in order to promote the communist cause. His son Kim Jong Il only visits his subjects on rare occasions, but great pictures are guaranteed when he does. Many rumours has serviced since 2008 that Kim Il Song would be ill or even dead. The North Korean government initially responded by publishing dated and even photoshopped photographs showing Kim in good health. In 2009 and 2010 Kim had recovered from a stroke and was able to retain his work although his health was still fragile. He inspected some production facilities, farms and military unites to reaffirm his health and show the world that he is still in charge of the country. The North Korean News Agency then published photos of these inspections to Western media. Comtourist has made a collection of some of these photos showing Kim Jong Il on inspecting army and civilian facilities. Note the people in his entourage that are always ready with a notebook to capture the dear leader’s suggestion for improving production, efficiency or strategy. Enjoy these images of the worlds worst dictator who does guarantee funny pictures when visiting his subjects.
