Photos Museum of Strategic Rocket Forces

The highlight of the Museum of Strategic Rocket Forces are the original ICBM missile silo and Unified Launch Control Center, however the museum has much more to offer for military and history enthusiasts. A large collection of missiles and missile parts, giant transport vehicles and many other interesting things are on display.

The previously top secret missile base is a great place to get an idea what this kind of places looked like in the Soviet Union. The museum also has a collection of vehicles, weapons, security equipment and other items that were used on the base on display. Four giant Maz tractors were used for loading the missiles in the silo and installing the prefabricated command centre container in its bunker. The museum exposition displays maps, photos and models that explain how the base and the Soviet Rocket forces functioned. A large collection of missile parts, most of the times worked open is displayed outside the museum.
